I have conducted an invited virtual workshop on the theme of "How to kick start a project" with 65+ live participants on 27th December 2022. The workshop was the inaugural workshop of the series of workshops, organized by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology society (EMBS) student branch chapter of the University of Moratuwa in parallel to the Brainstorm 2023, the premier healthcare innovation competition in Sri Lanka. The audience was mainly comprised of engineering and medicine undergraduates who aspire to kick-start their innovative projects and the workshop content was structured, with my experience as an undergraduate researcher and innovator, to sufficiently cover the understanding, knowledge and personal traits, that they need to initiate their projects.
I am honoured by the kind invitation of the organizing committee for conducting this workshop and the recording of the session would be available soon on Youtube.
The slides which I compiled and discussed in the workshop are embedded below as a steady tutorial for enthusiastic innovators when they are moving on with their projects.
Edit: The recording of the session on Youtube is accessible here.
The recognition received at the BrainStorm 2023 for the given guidance and conducting the first workshop of the BrainStorm workshop series by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology branch chapter at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
